Had to say two really big goodbyes in the past few days.
First one was to our dearest Pastor David Paul. I still remember meeting him during Jo's baptism and asking him where he studied. He laughed and said that he wasn't from my generation and was in fact getting his Bachelor in Theoretical studies at Singapore Bible College. And when I started attending BCC he was nothing but welcoming, encouraging, caring and just so kind.
Every week without fail he'd ask me how I was and I guess it was nice to know that someone out there asked out of genuine concern and not for the sake of it. Even when I was scared and worried, he still encouraged me to lead worship for Resonate and I'm really glad he did. He's taught me so much and so many of the lessons I've learnt about my walk with God come from him. Now that he's going to Canada for four years and is probably not gonna come back, I'm definitely gonna miss him and Amy.
Amy always took care of me and the other girls at camp like our mum hahaha. She is so so positive and man no one can be sweeter or stronger than her. It's really sad to see them leave but I'm glad they're able to start a new journey together and I hope they come and visit or vice versa.
And of course took some photos with rest of the resonaters + YAGers
I also had to say goodbye to one of my bestest friends and the one that I've been with the longest. This noob that I've grown up with and known since I was four :')
Ms Trudy Giam came back for her winter break and had to leave on Tuesday night to fly back before her next semester started. Being in her house and just talking to her and her parents really made me feel like I was a little kid again and just being in the second house I grew up in made me feel all comfortable and nostalgic. It was really nice to know that even though we don't see each other often, we can still like fan girl and talk about HTH stuff. We just walked around the airport and talked about my life in school and my problems and she did the same. I was so happy to just be able to have dinner and spend time with her even if it was for 5 hours only and I wouldn't be able to see her for the next 6 months.
She couldn't get onto her intended flight though and we ended up driving back to her house to watch the 9pm channel 8 show as well as cool kids on the block as we waited for the next flight HAHAHA our love for Shaun Chen and Changmin amuse me so LOLOL. But it really was an awesome nice. Korean food and cheese cake & red velvet cake from CBTL made it even better of course ^.^ HEHEHEE. Have a good semester in Melbourne chuchi. See you in 6 months :')
