Prom (Delayed)

In the middle of the year, I still recall the 8 of us thinking that we didn't want to go to prom because it'd cost wayyyy too much and we didn't wanna waste any money. And of course, us being the impromptu and "suay bian" bunch that we are, the moment someone raised the idea that they actually wanted to go: the deal became "all 8 of us go or no one goes". So there we were in August, spending 85 dollars per person to attend our JC prom. 

And to be honest, I didn't think it would be very fun and yeah okay, it wasn't the most interesting night - but I did have an awesome time getting ready with one of my favourite bunch of people. It wasn't a night of partying and going crazy in the expected manner, but it was a really fun night of getting ready together, glamming up, talking and staying up and just spending time with each other. 

Mummy managed to book a hotel room at the Pan Pacific for us which was pretty convenient since prom was gonna be at the Marina Mandarin. Got ready with the rest and spent a great deal of time running around Marina Square to buy last minute things. It was really super hilarious running around in bedroom slippers with Kylie HAHAHA. But I think that the time spent in the hotel room really was the best parts of the night - talking, scrambling around the room, helping one another: I absolutely loved every minute of it. Even after everything, I liked the card games and talks we had after coming back from butter factory (despite me crashing first around 6 lol)

Then there was prom itself, it wasn't the most fantastic evening? I think I did enjoy SMSS's prom better because of the dance floor and the activities LOL, but I liked running around and taking photos with everyone ^_^

Anyway, later on went to butter factory for post prom. My first experience at a club and probably my last as well unless there's a really good reason as to why I'd have to enter. I mean the only initial reason I wanted to go was because of ... and well yeah that fell through LOL. But, yes, back to the point - I didn't like the smoky atmosphere and all the loud noises that didn't let me hear my own thoughts. The people were scary and note to self, to never find yourself again in a situation where you're surrounded by drunk people lol. I mean it was a good experience to have but yeah, never again ~ Had to escape it and ended up going to the pier to have a lovely and much needed chat with Kylie to talk about a lot of things that had yet to be said. But I'm glad and really thankful to have her :') After about 3am where there well several fights, physical and verbal, we all went back to the room to talk and calm down.

Prom really was a night to remember, filled with good and bad memories but I'm glad I experienced it. especially with the people I love. Lol can't wait for another crazy night, really missing this bunch while I'm away but can't wait to see them soon. Will blog about other December shennanigans when unlimited wifi becomes accessible to me while I'm here in NYC.
